CROWN
IS NAMED IN TOP 100 RESTAURANTS IN UK
Sunday, 2nd October 2005
The Crown at Whitebrook in the Wye Valley,
has been included in Olive magazine’s top
100 restaurants in Britain.
The coveted poll is put together by leading restaurant
critics and journalists and includes establishments
such as Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen’
and Gordon Ramsey’s ‘French’ in
London SW3.
The Crown at Whitebrook has been acclaimed by the
publication for being ‘Top British’
and is the only Welsh establishment in this category.
Lulu Grimes, assistant editor of Olive said “The
Top 100 is Olive’s choice of the best places
to eat in the UK – the restaurants that we
are passionate about, where not only is the food
great, but the service spot on and where having
a good time is guaranteed.”
The guide says of the Crown at Whitebrook “Deep
in the pretty Wye Valley, this restaurant with rooms
has a menu that is comparable to some of the best
in the land. Expect dishes such as seared fillet
of bream on smoked bacon and shellfish chowder with
asparagus.” |
