CROWN
WINS AWARD FOR HYGIENE
Monday, 12th February 2007
The
Crown at Whitebrook has recieved a Food Hygiene
Award from the Food Standards Agency Wales. The
award is an accolade given only to those establishments
or food businesses who achieve an exceptional and
consistent standard of cleanliness and good hygiene
administration.
General Manager Michael Obray and Head Chef James
Sommerin were delighted to accept the award. Michael
said "it was indicative of James' overall professional
approach to kitchen management and his unyielding
commitment to high standards of cleanliness in the
kitchen". James and Michael together produced an
overall hygiene operations manual that was commended
by the Environmental Health Officer as being comprehensive
and practical.
The Crown was told that these awards were rarely
handed out and to recieve one was in itself a great
accolade. Michael said "This was once again
a good achievement for the whole team and it follows
closely on the heels of The Crown recently being
awarded a Michelin Star. This means it has been
a good start to 2007 for us!" |
