Our
philosophy at The Crown is one of a "Total Dining
Experience". Led by the quality of the
food, the ambience of the restaurant and the friendly
attentive service keep to the same high standard.
Before dining in the restaurant you will be invited
to a pre-meal aperitif in the comfort of the lounge.
Here guests are offered menus and can relax whilst
lingering over menu and wine choices.
The restaurant itself is smart, modern and finished
with the soft touches that make for an intimate atmosphere.
Tasteful original artwork adorns the walls and provides
a perfect backdrop to the elegance of the dining room.
Lunch and dinner are not hurried affairs as the food
takes centre stage. In creating his Michelin
Star menus James Sommerin masterfully combines original
and complimentary flavours which make up each dish.
Fresh, and as much local produce as possible is used
in creating a fine modern menu with classical French
disciplines.
Our extensive wine list, voted by Johansens as one
of the top three in Britain in 2006, is the perfect
accompaniment to the menu. With over 200 bins
you may wish you had more time to linger, but there’s
always next time!
