With
its lovely gardens and a short drive from the beautiful
village of Tintern, home of the famous Abbey, The Crown
at Whitebrook is a hotel equally suited to the romantic
weekender, the hill walker, the sportsman or the visitor.
A new art gallery has recently opened just 1 mile
up the Whitebrook Valley from The Crown. The gallery,

Yapp. The
rooms of this charming stone facaded house have been
stylishly renovated into airy gallery spaces that
show off the artwork in a sophisticated yet relaxing
environment.
Denise's exhibtions incorporate the work of over 35
artists and span a range of styles and mediums.
Should you wish to visit the gallery or require further
information please click on the link above.
A host of attractions are located just a stone's throw
from the Crown's peaceful setting and offers a range
of activities for both the young and the young at
heart.
Be it a cultural evening at the Wales Millennium Centre
or the sporting excellence of Wales golf championship
at the Celtic Manor, horse racing at Chepstow, salmon
fishing on the River Wye, or international rugby at
the Millennium Stadium – to name but a few,
we specialise in organising bespoke packages to meet

Very
close by is the historic village of Tintern and its fascinating
ruined Abbey set by the River Wye. Monmouth, our local town
dates back to around 1066, and there are still remnants of its
long and colourful history.
Walkers will enjoy following the Offa's Dyke long distance footpath
which runs within a mile of the nearby Forest of Dean - set
between the Rivers Severn and Wye, this is a 27,000 acre area
of woodland which has many walking and mountain biking trails.
While in the forest, visit Clearwell with its neo-Gothic castle
and its caves and see the peregrine falcons and climb the Rock,
a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the Wye Valley, at Symonds
Yat.
There are castles in all directions including Grosmont, Whitecastle,
Skenfrith, Abergavenny, Raglan, Usk, Penhow, Caldicot and Chepstow.
Golfers will enjoy a round at local golf courses including Dewstow,
Monmouth, Llanfoist, Raglan Parc, Rolls of Monmouth, Celtic
Manor at Newport, St. Pierre, Forest of Dean and
Wood Lake near Usk.
With our close contacts we will be more than happy to book any
activities on your behalf. Please ask for more details when
you book. |
